Over the past year, Pegasus has partnered with NZSSDA to deliver stainless steel training sessions throughout New Zealand. These sessions strengthen industry capability by promoting best practice in material selection, fabrication, and long-term performance. By combining technical knowledge with real-world insights, Pegasus is helping businesses make more informed decisions about stainless steel use.

Looking ahead, Pegasus has proposed the development of a Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) tool for NZSSDA. This tool would enable designers, engineers, and asset owners to assess materials based on whole-of-life value rather than upfront cost alone. By clearly demonstrating the durability and economic benefits of stainless steel, the LCCA tool aims to support smarter specification decisions and encourage wider adoption across New Zealand projects.

Prasad Rao, Owner and CEO of Pegasus Consulting, previously worked in the New Zealand stainless steel industry before relocating to India. Over the past year, he has been based between India and New Zealand to establish the NZ business, bringing valuable cross-market experience and strong international networks.

With growing trade interest following the NZ–India Free Trade Agreement, Pegasus is well positioned to support New Zealand companies seeking to import stainless steel products from India.
