Laser Welding Demonstration Draws Strong Industry Interest

The high level of engagement throughout the event highlighted the industry’s growing interest in laser welding technology. Jeff Meale from Weld.i.t delivered an interactive introduction that generated extensive discussion and audience questions, extending the planned 15-minute presentation to almost 45 minutes.

 
The practical demonstration within the Pentair production facility also attracted significant attention, with close to 30 spectators attending, including Pentair staff. The event additionally featured a successful live stream of the initial presentation, enabling wider participation.

 
Due to the positive response and level of engagement, a repeat event is likely, potentially in Auckland with a stronger focus on the marine and architectural fabrication sectors.
