The question facing us all is whether the energy transition can move fast enough to limit the impacts of global warming. The technologies are largely in place — or close to it — yet political will and coordinated focus remain critical. For New Zealand and our wider industry, this is both a challenge and an opportunity: the renewables sector (solar, wind, tidal, wave, geothermal, and storage) is alive with innovation, offering genuine grounds for optimism alongside urgency.
